Threadless picks of the week

Fruit of the Negativitree - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
design by Ryan Santos, $25

designed for threadless by the lovely chaps from faesthetic magazine, this is cool for several reasons. #1: it promotes grumpiness. #2: it has outlines that freaking GLOW IN THE DARK. #3: minimalistic and absolutely huge design, this thing covers the entire front of the shirt. #4: it's printed on a fashion fitted AA tee, which is miles ahead of the slightly crappy FOTL shirts threadless usually use (unless you have a vagina that is, you lucky gals get all threadless shirts printed on american apparel)

Click the above pic to go to threadless, where this is available for purchase. Hell, if you buy before Nov 1 they'll even throw in a free copy of Faesthetic magazine(street value $20!)

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
Design by Leon Ryan, $15/17

also out this week is this fantastic Lichtenstein inspired effort by puppy-faced aussie illustrator wiz Leon R, which is one of the only yellow shirts i've bought without thinking twice. everything in this one is perfect, the placement, the colours and the spot-on style of illustration. particulary clever is the way this manages to put a postmodern twist on the once revolutionary sampled stereotype-based art of its inspiration. available for boys and girls over at threadless, click the pretty picture to go to the product page.

another halloween costume for slackers

design by Junk food, $30, 80's tees

screw halloween, i'd wear this all year! so daft it's awesome.
available at 80stees.com

malkovich malkovich malkovich

"inside" by robert gould: $20, oddica

i've waited for this shirt to be printed for a very long time, so it's awesome to finally be able to purchase it from the cheery people at oddica. Besides the fact that it is excellently designed and crafted- any shirt that references two things as neat as sgt. pepper and being john malkovich at the same time is worth beating up someone for their lunchmoney over.

buy it from oddica.
PS: oddtober sale! $20 for one shirt, 2 for $34, 3 or more for $15 each. sweet!
also, remember to use the coupon code "boo" (lower case) for an additional $5 off.

as worn by jack burton

jack burton "chinaman" shirt,$20, wing kong exchange

continiuing from the last post here's another geeky reference shirt: the tank top worn by kurt russell in big trouble in little china. if you can't pull off the tank top luck, don't worry: theres also a t-shirt version. as with the big lebowski baseball shirt, this isnt great because of the way it looks, but because of what it IS. big trouble is one of my favourite childhood flicks, so it was nice to come across some material based on it.
get yours from the wing kong exchange

as worn by the dude

kaoro betto baseball shirt, found item clothing: $21,95

a faithful recreation of the baseball jersey worn by jeff bridges in "the big lebowski". for die hard lebowski fans only, i guess. hell, i want one!

"After much research, we’ve determined that the player is Kaoru Betto, who played for the Osaka Tigers in 1948 & 1949. Known as “the Gentleman of Baseball,” Betto was one of the first Japanese power hitters. This re-creation is extremely faithful to the original and is printed on a tan and brown raglan just like the Dude’s."

buy it from found item clothing.

threadless picks of the week

Imposter - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
"imposter"-$15/17

A hogboy shirt as the pick of the week 2 weeks in a row? "how can this be?", you ask. "glow in the fucking dark", i reply, with bared teeth and eyes glowing with a madman's intensity under a layer of thick, caveman-like unkempt hair. this shall be mine before hallowee'n! be quick and click the picture above to go to the product page.

Bonus:
Mama's Boy - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
"mama's boy"-$25
Rosemary loves her baby! Tom burns' shirt makes great use of the extended amouns of inks available on threadless' select line(that means they're more expensive but better quality, fact fans!), i love the psychedelic look on this one, it is slightly like what i imagine vintage opium packaging would have looked like if it was an over the counter substance. the only thing missing for me in this design is some slight distressing on the design, other than that this makes a kickass shirt for both sexes. clicky the picky to go to the product page, where an option of purchase shall magically appear.

The War Against Work - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
"war against work"-$15/17

Glenn Jones is the most prolific designer on threadless. In many ways, he IS threadless. this is up to his usual standards, so go buy it. click the picture above to go to the product page.
